Bromley named as the most affordable place in London to own a garden
A study revealed that Bromley offers the best value for money when buying a house in London with a garden.
PlumbNation’s research compared average house prices in London with average sizes of private outdoor spaces.
She calculated the average cost of a property per m2 of garden space to reveal the most expensive (and most affordable) gardens in the capital.
The London Borough of Bromley has a land value per square meter of outdoor space of £1,313.95 – the cheapest found in the capital.
Bromley is also reported to have the largest gardens in London, with the average outdoor space size reaching 331.10m2.
Coming close second for best value is Bexleywhere the average property value per square meter of garden is £1,429.34.
In third place is Croydon, where the average property cost per square meter of garden is £1,452.68.
Meanwhile, Kensington and Chelsea top the list of most expensive areas, with the average property value per square meter of garden being £13,656.34.
