Courtyard Arts in Hertford gears up for its big arts weekend

Courtyard Arts, invites the public to its great art weekend as it opens its doors and welcomes visitors this weekend.

The theme of the event is ‘growth’, and visitors to the Hertford center in Hertfordshire will be invited to learn the art of screen printing, where they can produce a masterpiece to take home or display. in the gallery, everyone is encouraged to contribute their own ideas or let the center tutors guide your design.

Visitors will also be invited to get creative with clay in the centre’s ceramic area, helping to make a sculpture for the courtyard wall or learning how to make a flower, leaf or insect from it. clay to add in a new tree-themed sculpture in their sunny backyard.

Center director Kate Davies said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming people back to Courtyard Arts after such a long time and hope the Great Arts Weekend encourages repeat and new visitors to come and learn new skills.”

The event is the first at Courtyard Arts in Port Vale in almost 18 months and
marks the start of the centre’s 25th anniversary.

A registered charity, the center has the largest team of art tutors in the region, welcoming students of all ages and skill levels. The charity also supports other local charities such as Mind, Carers in Herts and the Hertford and District Food Bank by offering creative workshops and art material packs.

The great art weekend takes place on Saturday July 10 and Sunday July 11, without reservation, it takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days and is free entry. For more details visit: www.courtyardarts.org.uk.
