Famous chef hotel in South West Refuge could be Britain’s hippest

This beautiful country hotel is set on 14 acres of beautiful mature grounds, formal lawns, wooded areas and stunning countryside views.

The beautiful gardens of this idyllic hideaway are in full bloom and there are wonderful walks around the expansive, lovingly tended grounds.

Owned by one of the country’s most famous chefs, the restaurant is laid back, informal with a home cooking atmosphere and the best food, some of which is grown on the land.

The Rudloe Arms, a few miles outside Bath in Somerset, owned by chef Marco Pierre White and definitely worth a visit.

He brought his passion for the outdoors to the hotel which overlooks the beautiful Box Valley towards Bath.

As you walk in there are no stuffy waiters in uniform or stinky receptionists telling you what to do.

Stepping into the main house is like stepping into Marco’s own house, there are lovely comfy sofas everywhere and huge original black and white framed photographs of David Bowie, Mick Jagger and other cool pop icons .

This is no ordinary hotel, it is so cool and hip and unbearably relaxed.

The rooms are wonderfully updated with stunning contemporary colors on the walls and sumptuous but cool furnishings throughout.

The newer Treetops building has 28 modern and contemporary double rooms and suites, all with heated floors and Juliet balconies, and there are beautiful private function rooms you can hire for weddings or special occasions.

The menu is seasonal and à la carte and changes regularly according to local products.

Many people book for a special occasion and stay overnight, it is worth it as you can enjoy the absolutely delicious breakfast overlooking the gardens in the morning followed by a walk to see all the beautiful vegetables and flowers.

It is the gardens and the views that are the main event at Rudloe House, they are simply breathtaking with original walls, doors and little nooks and crannies and original buildings everywhere.
