Gymnastics chosen by coaches for third place in 2022 EAGL

STEUBENVILLE, OHIO – Following their third consecutive championship overall, including their first Eastern Atlantic Gymnastics League championship, the Temple Gymnastics team will enter their second season in the EAGL era tied for third in the pre-season survey, as chosen by the conference head coaches.

The Owls had a total of 43 points in the poll, which included two-place votes, tied with UNC for third place with a first-place vote. NC State comes in as the preseason number one with 58 points and two votes for first place, followed by Towson (44 points). After Temple and UNC, there is George Washington with a first place vote (35 points), New Hampshire with a first place vote (30 points), Pittsburgh with a first place vote (27 points) and Long Island ( 8 points) complete the survey.

The reigning EGAL champions begin their crown defense Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. ET at home at McGonigle Hall for the first-ever Keystone Classic. The Cherry and White will host Pitt, Penn State and Penn on the first weekend of competition.
