Lady Kangs comes in 2nd place in the State Championship

The Lady Kangs lost to Garfield in the final game by 38-39.


After their successful basketball season, the LWHS Lady Kangs arrived in 2n/a spot in the WIAA 3A Women’s Basketball Tournament.

In the semi-final on March 4, the Lady Kangs defeated Mead – a previously undefeated team – by 42-41. The Lady Kangs held a 27-11 point lead at halftime and Elise Hani scored a total of 19 match points.

In the final game on March 5, the Lady Kangs were defeated by Garfield 38-39, placing them second in the state basketball tournament.

Arlington came in 3rd place, and Snohomish came in 4and location.

Lady Kangs’ season total wins and losses are 21-4.
