Mevagissey farm is the place to go for all you can eat and pick strawberries
It’s that time of year again, the sun is shining, temperatures are rising and perhaps most exciting for some – choose your own season is underway. The fruits of many farmers’ labors have sprouted throughout the region and are now ready to be picked and enjoyed by visitors.
Set in nearly 20 acres of land, a farm in Mevagissey is the perfect place for customers to come armed with a basket and pick their own fresh strawberries. Following the success of their Personal Picking (PYO) Opening Weekend, Boddington’s Berries has more “red” berries to pick this weekend.
Unlike other PYO events where you weigh the fruit you’ve picked before paying, Boddington’s will give you half an hour to pick and taste as many strawberries as you can. So get ready to fill your boots – and your trays.

Booking is essential and admission is £8.50 pp excluding babies in arms. The PYO will take place during the rest of June and July, between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The farm’s website states: “We have decided to open for [pick your own], but by appointment ONLY – you must pre-book and bring your own containers. Rather than weighing and paying for your fruit, we charge for a half hour picking slot to pick and taste as much as you want.
“Reservations are being taken every 15 minutes, with only four reservations available per slot. Please arrive and depart within your reserved slot as we have limited availability.”
