MLK Day Service celebration takes place Jan. 15 in Rosendale – Daily Freeman

ROSENDALE, NY – Volunteers from all Ulster County nonprofits are invited to attend UlsterCorps’ 13th Annual MLK Day Service Celebration.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 15, from noon to 2 p.m., outside the Rosendale Recreation Center, 1055 State Route 32. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be held on Monday, January 17.

Volunteers from service organizations across Ulster County will be honored for their hard work and dedication. The event will celebrate the large circle of kindness and generosity that unites residents as a community and demonstrate the value of the spirit of volunteerism across all generations.

The event is free and will include goody bags for all participants who pre-register by Monday, January 10. There will also be an event program listing the names of all volunteers who pre-register by January 10, as well as all partner businesses and agencies contributing goodie bag items and supporting the event.

Volunteers from all Ulster County nonprofits are welcome. It will be a driving event. Pre-registered volunteers are encouraged to drive anytime between noon and 2 p.m. to receive their bag of goodies, the event program and words of gratitude. All participants are requested to wear a mask or face covering during the event.
