The pullover prevention and COVID vaccination clinic will take place on Saturday in Ypsilanti

YPSILANTI, Mich. – On Saturday, community members can be vaccinated against the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 while doing minor repairs on their cars.

Southeast MI Pull Over Prevention is holding another prevention clinic and mutual fair at Masjid Ibrahim in Ypsilanti from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The community group has held several prevention clinics over the past year, offering free exterior car repairs to help community members avoid traffic stops with police. Repairs include checking lights, tire pressure and fluid levels.

The Washtenaw County Health Department will be on hand to administer COVID-19 vaccines between 10 a.m. and noon. Appointments can be scheduled over the phone by calling 734-787-6477 or 734-492-5747 to schedule in Spanish.

Several other Washtenaw County organizations will participate to provide lunch, face masks, pet supplies, testing kits and Narcan, a nasal spray used to treat narcotic overdoses.
