The Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival takes place August 4-6 at Huber Park

The Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival kicks off Thursday night at Huber Park, 1640 Davidson Drive.

Now in its 56th year, the three-day event promises a bit of everything and is sure to please almost anyone.

Are you planning to attend the free festival which will feature live entertainment, children’s activities and food? And who could resist the Tomato Wars? Here’s what you need to know about the event, including the schedule, vendors and more.

On the program of the Tomato Festival:

The festival will take place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday

Among the highlights of Thursday: the “Bloody Mary Bar” at the Beer Garden from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; the Reynoldsburg Community Band at 5 p.m.; opening ceremonies at 6:00 p.m.; and North to Nashville will perform at 8 p.m.

Friday highlights: From 4pm to 9pm, the “Bloody Mary Bar” will be open at the Beer Garden; Kids Corner with the Ohio State University Insect Zoo will be from 4-7 p.m.; senior bingo will also begin at 4 p.m. in the community tent; and don’t miss Tomato Wars at 6pm, where you’ll find people throwing tomatoes!

Saturday activities will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a variety of things to do, including the CT Cruisers Car Show. The last day of the festival will be crowned by a performance by Plain White T’s at 8:30 p.m. on the main stage.

Where can I park for the Tomato Festival in Reynoldsburg?

For festival-goers, there is free parking at Huber Park and JFK Park, 7232 E Main St.

The festival also offers a shuttle service every 30 minutes from the Reynoldsburg Livingston campus on Thursday and Friday from 5-10:30 p.m. and 4:30-10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Who should perform at the Tomato Festival?

The festival has several headliners:

Thursday: 6:30 p.m. Trae Myers; at 8 p.m. North to Nashville

On Friday, CYNTsastion takes to the main stage at 7 p.m., followed by Morris Day at 8:30 p.m.

Saturday’s shows are headlined by the Plain White T’s at 8:30 p.m., but before they take the stage Ruvane will perform at 7 p.m.
